When you're craving chocolate, fast food, and a box of mac and cheese... how can you find satisfaction in a bowl of vegetables? You can't. This is real talk. But, you can find healthier solutions to satisfy your craving, without jumping off the wagon onto the trail of regret and self-sabotage. What are some ways you have modified a favorite to make it a healthy alternative?

I'll start with the 3 examples I used above.
1. Chocolate. I go for the dark chocolate. (70-85% cocoa). It's loaded with fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins and minerals. While it is still best to consume in moderation, it's a great way to satisfy that after dinner chocolate craving and still gain some nutrients your body can thank you for.
2 & 3. Fast food, and mac and cheese. Make your own version. Craving a giant calorie stuffed, super fatty burger? grill a bison burger, add some veggies, and put it all on a whole what bun (unless your gluten free!). You can also eat it on giant portabella mushroom caps or as a lettuce wrap! Mac n cheese, make your own homemade with a little milk and cheese and some whole wheat or low-carbohydrate pasta. Again eat this all in moderation, but remember that making your own version cuts out the unknown and cuts out the unnatural processed junk you get from the fast food chains, and from the cheap box.
